Butterflies

New beginnings!

Happy Sunday,

I have butterflies today; they are bigger than pre-event nerves; my large wings are pushing me towards a beautiful transformation. It was all a dream, but I am proud we're hosting our first ever Sunday Forever weekend. Starting with a sunset sound bath on Friday, August 5th, and our Radiant brunch + day party on Saturday, August 6th. This experience has been challenging and fun, and I am falling deeper in love with myself. I believe so deeply in all of my dreams. Dreams to have a series of Sunday Forever books, and films, own my production studio, have my tequila bar, travel the world for work and play, own my own theatre, write plays, retire on an island; I could go on and on...

I remembered how I would write stories this morning when I was younger and sometimes throw away the ideas before I had time to develop them. I noticed that my mentee would also throw away stories and poems she wrote. This is why it was important for me to join organizations like Write Girl as a mentor. To you reading this, it's time for you to write your dreams on paper and throw them out into the world. Allow them the opportunity to prosper and bloom. Allow them to fail. Move out of God's way so my gift can make room for you and place you around great men.

Speaking of Write Girl, I am happy to partner with the Chief Executive Officer of Write Girl for a FREE special master class on Sunday, August 7th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST on Zoom. Keren is a wonderful and gifted person; she has been a community leader for two decades. In 2001, she founded WriteGirl to inspire teens to write, guided by professional writers. Since 2001, WriteGirl has guided 100% of seniors in its Core Mentoring Program to graduate from high school and enroll in college. Keren has since received the Los Angeles Times Innovator's Award. Write Girl was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama with the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, the highest national honor of such programs. I am so grateful to share this space with Keren and look forward to Sunday, a day of learning and writing.

I also remember when I met Bridgid Coutler Cheadle, another one of the brilliant and beautiful women I interviewed. During a live for Blackbird Collective Flyness Fridays, she spotlighted Sunday Forever and asked me a question about starting a business. At the time, I did not consider Sunday Forever a company, although I knew one day it would be. That is the thing about divine timing. You must embrace those moments, even if it means moving forward despite the fear.

Growing this platform means so much to me. Thank you for reading and sharing, and if you're in LA, I hope you stop by one of our events. This will be the first of many memorable weekends.
