Hi ya’ll,
I’m the stop and smell the roses type of person figuratively and literally, and it’s one of the things I love most about myself. I had taken a call outside when I noticed a puddle of rainwater that stayed behind from the morning showers. At first glance, it was like any other puddle, but I saw the reflection of nature mirrored on the surface while looking on with curious eyes. The cloud-filled sky and lush trees surrounding me filled the wet canvas like beautiful art in a frame for anyone patient enough to see it for its potential.
The landscape of our bodies is similar, a piece of divine handiwork available for exploration for a limited time. “For me, the journey seems to really start with meeting yourself where you are and showing kindness to your body,” writes Larry in “Embodied,” a personal reflection of discoveries found along the path to self-love.
See you next month. I look forward to celebrating mothers.
