Fall in Love, Fall into Purpose—October's Journey Begins
Relive the Magic: Love, Wellness, and New Beginnings
Happy Sunday,
This morning, I found myself rereading the cards from the sponsors who supported our first Fall in Love weekend in Dallas in September 2024. Their kind words celebrated the hard work I put in, encouraging me to relax before the events and truly take in all I had accomplished. They also spoke about walking in my purpose and how God would continue to blow my mind.
Faith is not about knowing the outcome will always be beautiful but trusting God in the middle of uncertainty. It’s in this space where many of us get distracted by the stillness required to surrender fully to His plan. I love God’s plan—it’s bigger than mine, bigger than yours—and I’m excited to see more fruitfulness manifest in October. It’s not always easy to loosen my grip and let Him lead, but it’s always worth it. This is why I believe in romanticizing life daily and celebrating ourselves at every opportunity.
When was the last time you allowed yourself just to be? To put away your to-do list and embrace the quiet moments of stillness. For me, October is all about falling deeper in love with life.
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of alarms. Some days, I wish I could sleep through them. Some days, I wish I didn’t have to show up for all of life’s many responsibilities. That’s why I love Sunday Forever events—they provide a safe space for community, self-reflection, and nurturing the love we already have within ourselves.
Fall in Love weekend was a dream come true. From our sponsors, like Gem Juice Bar, who fueled us for Saturday’s hike, to Tribal Café’s raffle donation, and everyone who showed up for a morning of mobility before our beautiful hike—it was pure magic. Sunday, our sacred day, was held at Temple Dallas with a restorative retreat. We wrote, practiced yoga, enjoyed a sound bath, wrote some more, and ended with a dinner sponsored by Packin Bowls and Sea Moss from Eden Esthetics. Thanks to Trader Joe’s and Curious Elixirs, we had snacks throughout the retreat and hosted a booze-free self-care vision board party! We even gave away two amazing raffles: a vajacial and a month-long membership to Oak Cliff Pilates.
A special thank you goes to For the Few and Sanctuary Scents, two incredible Black woman-owned businesses, for contributing to our goodie bags. Your products added an extra touch of love and care to the event, and I am so grateful for your support.
These moments mean the world to me. The continued support is heartwarming, and we’re just getting started!
I’m also proud that a portion of the ticket sales went to support our Generational Wealth Housing Grant through the New Roots Foundation. We raised funds to empower future recipients of our housing stipend, which will launch next year. We even received direct donations from people who believed in the mission. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see how much more we’ll grow together.
I hope you fall in love this month, and every month to be honest. We deserve to be happy, full, and at peace.
