Happy Thursday,
I have many thank yous, starting with my family for always believing in me and their unconditional love. I am still over the moon; we completed the first Sunday Forever weekend; it was a memorable and magical one. We hosted a sunset sound bath that kicked the weekend off perfectly by journaling collectively and allowing our bodies to restore with sound meditation. Thank you so much to Pressed Juicery in Studio City for their donation of tasty juices and Britt Blackwell for leading us. I started the weekend off feeling supported, submerged in beautiful sounds, and excited to see many new faces.
On Saturday, we hosted our first-day party in Los Angeles, and everyone showed up and showed out. It was so nostalgic for me to have my friend Elz the DJ, participate at this moment. I remember his first parties in Dallas; to see him on so many festival stages makes me proud, and having him and so many people come out to celebrate me is a moment I will cherish forever. And let's get into the food by Flavor of Fox; we had jerk chicken empanadas, shrimp empanadas, veggie empanadas, salmon sliders, chicken sliders, and crawfish etouffee. I'm still so full from the music, the food, and being around so many smiling people who are invested in seeing Sunday Forever, and I expand into our next chapter.
My family gifted me with this beautiful trophy the day of my party. First of many!
While planning these events, I fell deeper in love with myself. Deeper in love with my tenacity to believe in all of my dreams. I am divinely guided, victorious, prosperous, and blooming where I am planted.
Thank you to all the people who donated or poured into me with encouragement. And my family and close friends who always step up to be a part of my team. I am grateful that each moment I felt I was being too ambitious or did not have the resources to support this idea, God blessed me right where I was. He works everything out in his divine timing. It's never too early to invest in your dreams or to allow time to allow them to take root. To become bigger than you can imagine. I am so grateful that I continue to choose my dreams, see them through, and that quitting is not an option.
In full transparency, it doesn't feel like I am building Sunday Forever from the ground up. It feels like we are sharing these stories that are conversations amongst friends—planting seeds for community programming that will inspire us to enjoy, heal and continue to grow radiantly under the sun.
On Sunday, August 21st, we are ending our 2-year celebration with "Brilliant”, an intimacy + healing writer's workshop inspired by my love for Sundays. This will be a day to unwind, explore new ideas, and support writers along their creative journey. Talented instructors will lead inspirational writing sessions, we will have a flower-making activity, and end with a restorative dinner! There's so much more to come.
I had hoped to save this message for Sunday, but I felt energized this morning as I reflected on the weekend. I used my friend's Bahari Luxe sea moss Himalayan salt scrub this morning, and I thought, how cool is this to be surrounded by so many blossoming entrepreneurs. So many creators, doers, and lovers.
Also, I am happy to introduce you to greeting cards with Sunday Forever illustrations now being sold on Etsy. These are unique cards made with love and intention that you and your friends can enjoy!
Last weekend we honored my work and the power in the community, and as we move forward, I look forward to creating more space for men and women to thrive. Here's to a lifetime of wonderful Sundays. I look forward to sharing more stories with you soon.
