Introducing Light, Radiant and Brilliant in Los Angeles!

Today, I am writing to you as a dreamer who plans to travel far.

It's been a long week. A defining year but somehow, I still find moments where I am calm. And other times, I put on a feel-good movie, like Working Girl, to remind me that even rest plays a part in the peace I need to move with intention. In the beginning, the main character, Melanie Griffith, stars as a secretary named Tess, aspiring to be an executive. Without giving too much of the movie away, the movie's end reveals Tess finally arrives in her dream role and her first corner office. 

Alice Baxter: Uhm, Ms. McGill?

Tess McGill: Yes.

Alice Baxter: [pointing to private office] That's your desk... in there...

Tess McGill: I don't think so.

Alice Baxter: Oh, yes.

Tess McGill: Sorry, I thought the secretary would sit out here...

Alice Baxter: That's right, I'm the secretary. If you don't mind, I'd prefer assistant.

In fact, Alice explains that she is Tess’s secretary and Tess calls her best friend from her office to tell her that she officially made it.

So here’s to all the working girls who are ambitious and thriving. Right now, we’re laying the foundation for our very own ideas. Sometimes fear creeps up, but here’s to taking light steps toward our destination. It’s not that Tess wasn’t worthy of her assignments; she worked hard and had to allow her gift to work for her. To believe in her vision before anyone else could.

I am writing to you because I am deeply grateful for my Sunday Forever corner office. This office is in my home, near my favorite COOLGirl the brand candles or Inflorescence CBD oils, my house slippers, my soft body pillows, my favorite Rituals lotions, and body scrubs, and my favorite pen or notebooks. Here I am elevating and growing with my dream. And on the days I want to quit, I am reminded that my dreams are also God’s. I know that I cannot fail. I started Sunday Forever with 100 followers who were my family and friends. It has allowed me to meet new people and walk into new opportunities. We’re just getting started two years later, and I cannot believe we are three weeks away from our first inaugural weekend.

"Light" is a sound bath created with you in mind and hosted by Britt Blackwell. A pause after a busy week to reflect, restore and engage with a community of like-minded people. An evening that will remind you to enjoy the lighter moments, imagination, and journaling.

But also, this is the start of a fun weekend envisioned by the Sunday Forever team. So each guest will leave with a goodie bag that encourages a playful and relaxing night routine.

"Radiant" is a day party celebrating the second anniversary of Sunday Forever. You are invited to this unique dining experience that includes an open bar paired with dreamy southern food by Flavor of Fox, like Crawfish etouffee, jerk chicken, veggies, veggie empanadas and sounds by one of the coldest DJs , Elz the DJ.

We're bringing the south to the west!! Like Sunday Forever, this will be a moment of soul food. My drink of choice is tequila, but we'll also have non-alcoholic vibes.

"Brilliant" is inspired by my love for Sundays, a day to unwind, eat well, and write—a day of thinking deeply and lightly to support emerging writers of color on their journey. With the help of instructors and guests, each session will give you the freedom to explore new ideas. Each guest will leave with a lunch, a journal, and a goodie bag to support their creative journey.

There is so much power and beauty in beginnings. I look forward to seeing you at one or all of our events.
