What does your home need this spring?

Happy Sunday, Sunday lovers,

I find myself fascinated by my desire to be more still this month. More patient. I’ll be honest, this week was not a productive one, but I am so happy I spent a lot of time outdoors and with my brother, who was visiting. Nature is a reminder that we are brave, strong, and soft. I just love spring. It inspires so much newness and playfulness. I found myself outside this month, discovering that I really enjoy hiking. I got to the top of the hike at Griffith Observatory and discovered taller views of the city, a place to rest, and another path. The trail or walk may be the same; the more breathtaking things become, the further we travel. Nature is healing.

So I hope moving forward, we enjoy doing the same like waves returning softly back to shore. We are our homes. What does your home need this spring?

To be like nature, more specifically water, is what my home needs. Reminders like yesterday about how the simple things in life are beautiful. My feet in the warm sand, watching the waves change tenderly, and my brother playing. The surfers resting. And when we were still, we saw dolphins, moving joyfully about their day. I find that my present peace comes from now knowing I have everything together, but that it’s bigger than me. Everything is aligning as it should. I just need to take care of my home: my mind, my body, my peace, and what I can control. Everything is working out for good.

I hope spring opens doors for you to take up new spaces. To find joy in returning back to yourself. Meet new people. Saying yes! Asking for what you need and staying hopeful even if you have to wait for it. Some fights don’t require force, but they can force you to walk in a different direction.
